Teaching and External Examining
In addition to my work as Co-Director of DkIT’s Creative Arts Research Centre, I’ve lectured full-time in Creative Media at Dundalk Institute of Technology since 2007. I’ve also taught at FH Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, Trinity College Dublin, and IULM University of Milan.
I teach a mix of theory and practice based subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level, drawing upon my academic and industry background, and ongoing research scholarship and creative practice.
Over the years I’ve built a broad base of experience and expertise in effectively designing, delivering, and assessing university level courses and modules across art, design and technology related domains.
Since 2010 I’ve been an external examiner for universities including MTU, TU Dublin, TUS, University of Portsmouth, and Canterbury Christ Church University, on both research-led and taught programmes.
My teaching-related training includes an MA in Learning and Teaching, and a Certificate in Postgraduate Research Supervision.
